It is fairly clear that the fight is against fossil fuel companies and their complicit allies, the decision makers in governments, that approve coal mining projects.

For every public defence against the onslaught of extinction by carbon burning, there is a corporate and government backlash and work around.

And governments make their "economic" excuses. - New coal power stations threat to EU's emissions target.

Be sure that the Australian government anti-climate science cabinet is fully coal mining complicit.  We have already seen from the NSW ICAC how easily politicians and their "beliefs" can be purchased by donations.  There is no such investigative body to investigate members of Australian political parties.

Once coal mines get approved, even under "strict conditions", they have never been unapproved, and those conditions have never mattered in the least, and there is no "unapproval" process.

Whitehaven Coal is still losing money, with a global coal price slump, and all they do is ship even more coal, reaping their destruction apon once healthy food producing region and its people, and destroying the last of rare species and ecosystems. Activists at Maules Creek fight on.

Coal Mining projects need to have their social license to operate removed as soon as possible. Write to all the relevent politicians you know, as soon as possible, and as many times as possible. Support local and global actios to stop turning this Earth into our Hell.
