Coal as the Termites of future prosperity

Tony Abbott said "For the foreseeable future coal is the foundation of prosperity," he told reporters, published in Sydney Morning Herald on 4th November 2014.

"Coal is the foundation of the way we live because you can't have a modern lifestyle without energy, you can't have a modern economy without energy.

"So if we are serious about raising people's living standards in less developed countries, if we are serious about maintaining and improving living standards in countries like Australia we have to be serious about making the best use of coal."

Please, this is the twenty first century.  Only renewable energy can be the foundation of way we should live, because it gives energy to our modern economy without destroying our living world.

If we want to be serious about raising peoples standards of living in less developed countries, we should pay them more for their exported products.

Why, Tony, is renewable energy bad? Why does the government take money from renewable energy and give it to fossil fuel energy, if all energy is good? See today's Melbourne coup cartoon below.

How about Coal as the termites of future prosperity. Coal destroys water, health, land, and soon enough will destroy climate, agriculture and civilization, and species? Where is the prosperity after these have gone?

We know where the money goes. It goes overseas to the Corporate Termites of the Minerals Council ruling Australia.

The 'Minerals Council Ruling Australia'  (run by extremely profitable coal invested international corporations) fully backed the Prime Minister. Their logic can be summarized as 'We own coal mines. Coal energy good energy. Solar and Wind BAD energy, not give us enough money. Global Warming action stops us making money, so it must be wrong'

I laughed out loud at this. Liberal National CoalIgnition government eating up the RET and letting big business milk the money for Direct Action for carbon emission pollution.
